There are mixed reports on whether Hyundai will launch its largest and most prestigious (Equus) sedan ever in the States. So far, the vehicle has been on sale only in Korea, while China and some markets in the Middle East have been confirmed to get the model soon.

Hyundai might be having secret plans with the new Equus and the US market launch and if ever, those will be revealed tomorrow at the 2009 New York International Auto Show, when Hyundai will be having a press conference.

The Korean company has brought one of the models to the New York where it will be displayed to the US consumers for the first time. The Equus will be put on display at the show alongside Hyundai Nuvis concept car and a bunch of its production models.

The model displayed at the show in New York is equipped with Hyundais award winning 4.6L V8 engine that packs 366 horsepower and is mated to the six-speed automatic tranny. It features 19 inch alloy wheels and LED technology equipped front-lamps. Inside there is a 17-speaker sound system, 9 airbags and cooled and massaging leather seats.
